Amazon Offers Thin Samsung X360 Notebook for $749
I was just getting my daily dose of Amazon and saw a solid deal worth passing along. Today, the e-tailer is selling the thin-and-light Samsung X360 notebook for $1,049, which is 45% off the MSRP. There was a $300 rebate on top of that, but you had to purchase by the end of February. Still, a good deal at just over a grand for:
- 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (SU9300)
- 3GB of 1066MHz DDR3 RAM
- 120GB, 5400RPM hard drive
- Microsoft Windows Vista Business
- 13.3-inch, 1280×800 LED backlit display
- Intel GMA4500MHD shared, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
- 5900mAh, 6-cell battery. I’d expect around 5 hours of standard runtime.
- 2.8-pound weight
- 1.2 x 12.2 x 8.9 inches
UPDATE: reader bob in Pittsburgh pointed out the $300 rebate is back, so this beauty is only $749 after the rebate. Yowza!

I just looked at Amazon, and it looks like the $300.00 rebate is baaaaack! Purchase by 3/31/2009; postmark by 4/30/09.
The Amazon page you link to shows (now) a price of $1,829.97. And no mention of a $300 rebate.
And that’s why I get my daily dose of Amazon in the morning, not the evening. ;)
Thank god I am still holding out for that high-res HP 2140… if you could PM me when you find one of those for cheap, I’d be grateful :)
