Always Innovating TouchBook Appears in Owner’s Hands, and on Twitter
It seemed like it might never happen, but the Always Innovating TouchBook is finally getting into purchasers’ hands. The TouchBook is a hybrid tablet with a detachable keyboard that’s designed for slate operation. Reader Stephen Feger has received his TouchBook and is posting his thoughts, along with some pics, on Twitter. Those interested in the TouchBook would do well to follow Stephen’s adventures. Maybe we can get him to share his thoughts with all of us?

From his tweets…”TB is very tipsy. Can’t go past more than a few degrees and it goes over when connected to keyboard.” = Design fail :(
Yep, that’s a major flaw. I guess you could get a metal desk. :)
Yep, it’s disappointing. I’m not going to bash the device. That serves no purpose. It’s just not for me.
I do want to see where this goes with respect to the software, though my person opinion is that the focus should be on Android and not on another implementation of a linux distribution.
You picking up a few followers on Twitter? :)
I read in their documentation that WPA is not supported. I’m wondering if a near future release will support WPA-personal. I posted that question on their help page.
A couple of swing out supports or better yet a light weight sliding panel on the underside of the keyboard unit would add stability. Add a hand shaped slot and it could act as a handle.
