Akihabara News does the Fujitsu FMV-U8240 UMPC
No question that one of the most interesting new UMPCs is the Fujitsu FMV-U8240 UMPC with its 5.6 inch widescreen running 1024 x 600. It sports that new Intel A110 processor that Akihabara News reports even plays HD video well. I like this device because it’s small and light and yet is a full convertible Tablet PC with a touch screen, in fact it looks like the P1610 all shrunk down. Akihabara News has a lot of good photos of the Fuji and a very cool video overview of the device. I wonder when these will hit US shores?

Well I’m sold, I hope the performance is up to stratch with the design.
Well, I would have to ask? If the P1610 is Miyagi, would the FMV-U8240 be Daniel-San?
I like the specs… would like to see it with WWAN. This also screams for a larger hard drive (60GB at least).
There is some hope for WWAN:

Unfortunately Bluetooth is not built in :-(
I am so tempted to buy one of these so my P1610 (I call it Pigio :D ) has a little brother… :) I think it looks really cute. And for some strange reason, it seems like this would be more usable than the Sony UX series, even though the screen size is similar (?). Actually, it reminds me of those micro-Vaios that sites like Japan Rush and Dynamism used to sell a few years back.
