Adrive… dead? I don’t think so man… it seems to be working fine for me… I’ve gotten a bunch of my files backed up already… So… I dunno what you’re talkin about…

aDrive has been dead since mid-July 2008.

If they die, so be it. It’s backup; you can look at it as your backup site getting toasted in a fire. You just have to go make a new backup somewhere else. I haven’t tried the backup client yet, but hopefully it will do a rsync style backup on a schedule, and offer an error if the site goes down.

Your backup shouldn’t be your primary source for files, and you should probably have a local backup as well. This appears to be a fairly roomy space for your third-level offsite backup for the “worst case” disaster locally.

Is it really a back up solution if in their ToS they state they can cut you off from your data at any time?

“18. Termination for Convenience. Adrive reserves the right to change, suspend or discontinue all or any aspect of its services made available to You or others at any time, including the availability of any feature, Storage Data, without prior notice or liability to You. Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason or for no reason by sending notice of termination to the other party. You expressly waive and release Adrive from any and all claims You may have against Adrive arising out of or related to any such termination. “

I successfully signed up over two weeks and that is the extent of it. Can’t backup up a thing! I’ve tried all times of the day and night. The best I can do is an occasionally sign in and reaching of the the file manager.

Any suggestion? Anybody?
