Acer to Pass Dell in Sales, HP in Their Sights Next

Acer seems to be in the news almost every day, and apparently it’s due to strong PC sales. President Gianfranco Lanci is predicting the Taiwan company will pass Dell as the number two PC company in the next few months. He claims Acer revenue will be much the same this year as last, meaning in the rich neighborhood of $17 billion.

Lanci is not happy with just bumping Dell of the top two list; he states that Acer will soon be narrowing the gap with HP. Acer is seeing good business in Asia, especially in notebooks, netbooks and smartphones.
