so with the $449 model you lose XP, lose 120GB HDD, & only gain the 8GB SSD/6-cell battery? no thx. especially with the recent news these lowend cheap SSD’s offer almost no advantage to HDD’s.
the middle model sounds the best & hopefully you can buy the 6cell battery as a cheap accessory. that way you get to keep the XP license & 120GB HDD.
Hmmm……checked BB and CC websites and no One listed….. ;-)
Is this actually in stores? Or is this going to be a web-only deal like the Everex Cloudbook was? J&R told me they won’t be carrying this, so I wonder.
Just checked J&R. OMG. They WILL be getting the MSI Wind. But in … uh … Romantic Pink?!!?
newegg.com has it available, but only 1 config with 512mb ram and the SSD.
No integrated Bluetooth? Almost perfect.
Fujitsu is working on an 8.9″ mini notebook that is expected to sell for 300-400 Euros ($475-$633 at current exchange rate).

Stay away from the SSD-only. Have the EEEPC 901 and cannot even install WinXP SP3 without running out of hard drive space. Oh, then try to add your music…. good luck!
Thanks JK for the detailed info of all the 3.
Hi guys,
I wanted XP Pro on this system. Can I format and install Pro on this system? I mean do the drivers for XP home work for the XP pro as well?
Also the screen looks very small on the sides, does it mean they have a 10″ coming up in the same chassis? Asus did the same by changing the 7″ screen replacing it with a 9″ one. A 10″ screen with thinner sides wud be awesome.
I like the blue one better but the keyboard being black I have to go for the white one, as the current one I have is black and its hard to work sitting in Dim light.
Thanks for reading… :)
