15-inch MacBook Pro gets faster (barely) for a lot
Apple made a lot of product announcements today but the only one concerning us mobile types is a minor one. When the 17-inch unibody MacBook Pro was introduced it had processor options up to 2.93 GHz. This fastest processor has not been available for the unibody 15-incher until today. You can configure the 2.93 GHz processor as an option when you order the MacBook Pro but it will set you back a cool $300. That puts this baby at $2,799, a whopping figure in today’s down market.

The funny thing is that I would pay that! IF I had a job!
With the NVIDIA GPU handling the graphics, I don’t see the point of upgrading unless you have serious work to do, in which case $300 should be a drop in the bucket.
