Effortless invoicing for me means e-invoicing. Tradeshift is trying to be a world changer in that. Let's see what happens to them. Right now, Office123 is already working with Tradeshift to provide a full-fledged business management platform from CRM to invoicing (as per TechCrunch).

For SEO, it really depends on the pagerank that the workingpoint directory would pass to the site being linked to. I would imagine that it’s minimal. As for “driving traffic”, I’m pretty sure that would also be minimal. How much traffic does a typical page on the directory get?

If you don’t already have a profile somewhere on the web, I can see that an entry in this directory could prove useful, but for most of our readers I think it would really be a waste of time filling it out.

Hi Meryl-

Great article. By the way, WorkingPoint recently formally launched it’s Company Profile feature. I’d like to challenge your assertion that “if you already have a site it’s probably not that useful.”

If you already have a site, you can link to it from WorkingPoint to enhance your SEO and drive more traffic to your site. Also, I’d argue that the Company Profile feature enables a user to add/alter information much easier than through a typical web template.

I have used WorkingPoint for about 5 months now, and it really does the job for me. I have a small consulting business, and I like tracking my expenses as well as my revenue, and the ability to view traditional accounting reports like Income/Expense and Balance Sheet.

Very cool product. It looks like it will grow with me as my business grows.

For combining business management and email marketing Moobiz http://www.moobiz.com is well worth a look. The email broadcast service is built into the business management system (projects, invoices, accounting etc.) directly so there is only one login.

The email broadcast app works directly with the CRM, pricing starts at £15/month, and internationalisation is on it’s way!

Well worth a checking out…
