To me it seems fine to make a statement about the use of Clixpy in the Privacy Policy and use it. It’s not as though you’re getting any information you wouldn’t get from analytics software. As for the form fields, presumably you’re getting that information when the user submits the form anyway. I guess the only issue there might be someone who abandoned a form without submitting it. Perhaps for forms, you could put a message at the top.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I generally tend to agree with your thoughts about this not considered “spying”.

The privacy concerns I have are more situational depending upon the site where it may be used. The ability to visually capture keystrokes could override or conflict with other security measures or established privacy policies. I think properly disclosing its use is appropriate.

Thanks for sharing the other choices in this field – I will take a look at them for comparison.
