Oddly enough a friend from town was just telling me about this last weekend, only I didn’t get much chance to do anything even partially resembling research into it. It seems like an interesting application though and I will definitely check it out right away!

I tried Ulteo web desktop about 6 months ago, and liked a lot of things about it. However, its slowness was just too much hassle for me to tolerate. If they could find a way to speed it up then I think they would have a winner. I do think that this kind of service will become increasingly important… offloading the maintenance, backup, security, and infrastructure upgrades to a web-based provider is more efficient for the consumer. If it is done properly!
