I use Quicksilver on iPhone. It's pretty cheap ($2.99) and it has push notifications. It only does Google Talk and XMPP (good for me since I run an XMPP server) but you can set up transports on the XMPP server to AIM, MSN, and other services, which makes it a pretty good option.

I use Beejive for the iPhone, it's really nice, especially with the push notifications. It used to be very slow and buggy but now with the updates it seems to be much faster especially if you close and end conversations like you would on the desktop. It also, does Facebook and the ever forgotten MySpace chat as well. Beejive is nice but it also comes with a hefty price tag of $6.99. It isn't all that big, when I purchased Beejive it was $9.99 and they'd just launched push notification.
