With the exception of the Twitter search, how are these suggestions little more than asking all designers and developers to sell out?

It’s been proven over and over again that the reasonable clients you can find on these bid sites are in the minority. If you are so desperate for work that you must take them, so be it. But why offer these as legitimate options to the community, when we are treated as commodities by so many?

$50 logo designers and bid sites do nothing to legitimize the field.
