The fact that shift 3rd world direct marketing agencies can get US fax numbers should destroy any aura of credibility, not bolster it.

Since pharma and actuarial still require paper copies, then let them print them on their end, we shouldn't make 2 copies of one document, ever. Which brings me to my final point, 'actual' signatures.

Sign your name, scan it and save it on your drive then 'paste' it into your document and fax it directly from your pc (or those pretty toy computers).

However, since any number of shady transactions occurs regularly in dingy check cashing, western union, and OTB fronts all over this country; and the denizens thereof won't be as tech savvy as you, you're probably right we're stuck with soviet era technology for some time to come.
