Send Yourself Reminders With Twitter Timer
Like many of my fellow Web Workers, I look to Twitter as a means to communicate and stay connected with others. Recently though, I have also started looking at ways it can help me with my productivity.
That search led me to the Twitter Timer, a super handy bot that provides the virtual pat on the shoulder I need to remember to perform various tasks throughout the day. It’s super easy to use, just befriend the timer and then send it a direct message with the time delay and your details. When the time passes, it will tweet you back your info.
It’s free to use although a Twitter account is obviously required.
How do you use Twitter to be more productive?

why don’t you just use Sandy (http://iwantsandy.com/ ) and then follow her on twitter and enable your mobile updates?
I guess it would have the same end result but it would require me to use yet another service as an intermediary. Now I make the request and get the update all in the same place using just the one interface.
Thanks

I use Timer for intermittent adhoc type events. For regular events I prefer to use Remember The Milk and get it to send me tweets when tasks are due.

Good point Ross. I use Toodledo for heavy duty task management and it also integrates well with Twitter for entering and reminding me of tasks, but Timer works great for those one off quick reminders I need.
Thanks for comments,

imified.com works fine in all the IMs – faster than twitter.
I use Sandy via Twitter as well. It’s great because it integrates with iCal/ Outlook and even sends SMS if you need a little extra reminder.
