Roboform is a great password manager… I just wish they had a Linux compatible version. I’ve tried everything else, but Roboform stuck with me.

I, personally, only have several username and passwords for various websites, which I remember without any “reminder software”. However, I do synchronize my files online so that I can access my home files from work. Cloud services are really useful. I have just discovered them and they definitely eliminate the need for USB drives and CD’s.

though Firefox3.0 can also maintain your long queue of passwords infact you can take its backup too whenever needed but i would prefer this roboform due to its independent and extra secure nature.

I love LastPass!

It is free and was built from the ground up with portability in mind.

It is far more secure and has more features than xmarks.

I recommend Lastpass for classic form filling like Roboform or iMacros (another Firefox extension) if you want form filling plus automation. Both tools are good and open source (Javascript!).

@JL – No luck, I keep looking for ability to use with other browsers as well.

@elmarko – Thanks for the alerts on mobile usage – we’ll have to see how they can make something useful for the more mobile users.

I actually love the RoboForm software myself. I use it all of the time and it takes all of the menial everyday tasks that I have to perform on my computer daily and shortens them extremely! What once took me fifteen minutes to complete now takes me only one second because RoboForm does the same task with just one click. In fact I wrote a Report about a lot of RoboForm’s capabilities for use that aren’t even touched on in the User’s Manual for RoboForm. You can get that Report here:

There is also a FREE version of RoboForm that you can download on this web page, just to test the RoboForm software out for yourself! I highly recommend it!

As a RoboForm Pro user, I was really glad to learn of this service. However, I’m also a Nokia E71 user and RoboForm’s Symbian app does not function on the E71′s smaller screen. I was hoping RoboForm Online would help bridge that gap, but I found RoboForm Online renders pretty badly on a mobile phone. I couldn’t get the web site to display at all, using Nokia’s native web browser. Opera Mini couldn’t do it, either. Only Skyfire could display RoboForm Online. Even then, it was necessary to scroll far to the left and right, in order to select and then view any RoboForm data.

I hope the RoboForm folks can produce a better web app – one that is useful to mobile users. This is a good start, but not a great start.

I was excited to think this might be some sort of online solution so I could use Roboform and Chrome. But as I read and learned it is only for password sync I think I will stick with my dropbox solution as well.
