Setting up a new account appear to be very complex in ringcentral for me. He ere is my final letter to RingCentral after my new account setup was not completed in a month.

Hi,

I have been trying for nearly one month to setup my virtual phone number with ring central. Over this month I sent CCAF forms twice and called ringcentral 4 times but still it is resolved.

Sorry to see Ringcentral providing new customer such a careless service. I have never encountered such a delay and complexity in setting up account with any other organization in my professional life. Moreover, you are now informing me that the number I registered is no longer available.

I am taking my service to one any of the reputable online pbx provider.

Regards

I use Ring Central Mobile (formerly known as RC ONline) and it works well. The flexibility of call handling is very good but I do notice some latency in calls over POTS and cell phones. I'm guessing the SIP phones don't have it. All in all a great service at a great price!

RC as it has become known in our office is a very interesting operation. We have been using them since 2005 successfully. Initially we were looking to hook up many soho's through one medium and found RC to be the only offering that offered the faxing ability. Until 1 week ago, we had (have) held off from going to a complete VOIP system, now that we have grown sufficiently ti warrent a larger office, we are testing out RC's voip product and have thus far only been affected by a terrible AC cord adapter for the phones, apparently a known issue and a power outage. Your review is spot on other than discussing that you don't have to have a voip from rc to have an extension within its environment, that is a huge huge huge, did I mention HUGE benefit for people that still work out of their homes using pots lines or other voip offerings away from the office. Gives us a bit of inherent redundancy as well.

We are going to investigate RingCentral. Article referes to Grasshopper which we are currently using. Their conversion from GotVMail has been a disaster. Deleted messages, removal of notes were just a few of the problems. Web interface is broken, for example Tagging messages do not work properly when you have multiple users. I wouldn't touch Grasshopper with the proverbial 10 foot pole as it currently stands.
