Has anyone used this sute, I am having many troubles just loading the page to Remindo itslelf. It seems very buggy right now. How is everyone else's experiecne with it. I cant afford to invest my time and my staff with a system that sometimes works.

I see Remindo being useful in some organizations, but from my experienice I have found custom corporate social networking technology to be the most effective because each employer has ultimate control and it tends to catch on quite quickly.

@Craig’s question was only hinting at some of the problems Remindo may cause. Without a clear process that a company can use for managing user identity and access I don’t see Remindo being useful for midsize to large enterprises.

Yammer. We’ve been investigating it’s feature set and any benefit to our work processes. So far it’s not catching on and many still do not understand why twitter is so popular and will be extinct soon. I remind them about Sir Alan Sugar’s similar comment on the i-pod ‘Next Christmas the i-Pod will be kaput’

@Andrew, give Remindo a try, it’s got lots of great company wide communication, file storage and productivity features that I’m sure people will start using very quickly.

@Darrel, thanks for the review. Why not ask GigaOM to start using Remindo with the corporate id and invite freelancers such as yourself into a special Group (yes, you can invite non company users to Groups)

I’m wondering if charging for extra storage will keep the product afloat. Will you be looking at ads (within the application) to make money?

@Dan there are several ways for us to monetize the product once we have the usage, such as offer extra paid storage for files

@Scott we revolve more around corporate social networking and productivity offering project management (tasks, milestones, etc) and document storage features both within the company and for clients. Give it a try and you’ll see how its different.

What will be your business model? If I try it and like it, I would be suggesting its use to my employer, but I’d hate to see the ‘free web 2.0′ model go under after we starting using it.

I’m curious how you would keep out the employee who has already signed up, but gets laid off and has a few less than nice things to “microblog” about? =)
