Klok is an amazing program, I've used it for a long time now. The UI is incredibly friendly, and it only took me a few minutes to figure everything out. I wrote a review on Klok from a self employed game developers perspective, give it a read if you get the time. Glad to see the developers getting the attention they deserve, they've worked hard on giving us a great, free program.

I just had a closer look at paymo and have to say it rocks as it is free for up to 3 invoices a month but you can create unlimited clients and projects. It supports multi-currency and has an OS X time tracking widget. Very cool for freelancers.

I have to second Saul – Freshbooks is awesome and it seems getharvest would be a close second. I like the getharvest widget better as by clicking on an activity it auto starts to time that activity again – so if you are switching between projects or tasks it is quicker. But the freshbooks tracker removes the need to input each task for the day which I like. Small features but cool. Freshbooks have made me a lot more money just by being confident in the hours I can charge.

I work for TSheets.com so it'd probably be a sin for me to run across a killer blog and not put down our company's name. It truly is a free service and a great way to get rid of that old timesheet.

I have tried a bunch of time trackers and the one I keep coming back to is FreshBooks.com There is a cool mac widget and after I have tracked all of my time I can send it in the form of an invoice so I can get paid quicker and look more professional!

….and I also work at FreshBooks :)
