POD Space is a new office space for home workers. The pods provide a self -contained work unit away from the main house. POD Space have designed the pods using environmentally responsible, and low maintenance materials along with highly efficient heating and lighting. They have been designed to fit into most gardens and can be installed easily – usually craned in as a complete unit or site assembled if access is an issue. The pods are also completely customizable in terms of size and specification and In the majority of cases do not require planning permission. Visit POD Space for further information (www.pod-space.co.uk).

Heck, I wouldn't mind one of these at work. Instead of an open air cube where you can hear everything going on around you, at least you could close up in it and talk to clients without interruption!

Thanks for your perspective Alex - and for introducing your blog - OfficePOD is perhaps a little pricey for what it offers.

Sure there might be some advantages - but 'shedworking' isn't a panacea and just one option for working at home. I'd like to see some more creative thinking on space design and home layouts. Though, I accept 'sheds' are as much part of this thinking, as extensions of a home.

LOL, I'm not sure if anyone understands what adds value to their properties in the UK anymore - magic, financial sorcery and leprechaun juice seem to represent the best hopes for our economy :)
