Joliprint Bookmarklet Prints Pretty PDFs from Google Reader Items
Joliprint is an online service that will make a nicely-formatted PDF version of any article on the web, ready for printing or transferring to an e-reader. The site also provides a bookmarklet, which is handy as it’s much easier to just hit a button rather than having to go to the site and paste in the URL of the article you want made into a PDF.
The really cool thing about the bookmarklet, though, is that it can work with Google Reader. Simply select an item in Google Reader, hit the bookmarklet button and a nicely-formatted PDF of that post will be saved to your machine.
It works really well; articles are laid out in a very readable and attractive multi-page, two-column format; all the article’s images are retained. If you’ve ever wished you could print to PDF from Google Reader, it’s worth installing in your browser’s bookmarks toolbar.
(Note: for some reason, the bookmarklet doesn’t appear to work for me using Google Reader in Chrome; Firefox works fine.)

would love to be able to click on a Joliprint icon/button on GigaOM :-)

I’m not sure what’s new here… This has been available for years from PrintFriendly.com, PrintWhatYouLike.com, heck even adobe.com. Plus, the others have more features, like editing content before print.
Yes, we do not provide editing content before printing, because we believe that users want to have their result easily.
When you use PrintWhatYouLike.com, for example, how many clicks do you need to get rid of the sidebar printing this article, with the images? http://bit.ly/b1EEy7
