I used it for my dell laptop. I went on a business trip and did not feel like taking the fan with me. Everytime I turned on my computer I would get to the Windows loading screen then the laptop would just turn off… when I got home I took it to our network guy and he said the hard drive was sensing that the laptop was overheating and it just shuts off… I don’t know if this was an accurate assesment or not, but I thought it was one worth sharing…
