Cc:Betty Becomes Threadbox — Invites for WWD Readers
There are changes afoot at Cc:Betty, the “email personal assistant” that I looked at when it launched last year. The service is being rebranded and relaunched as Threadbox, with a new focus on workplace users. Threadbox gives you a central online repository for email threads, helping you to track conversations and tasks, manage project files and collaborate with your colleagues in real time. Because it works via email, it should fit into most company workflows with the minimum of fuss.
Here’s a short video showing how it works:
Threadbox is currently in private beta, but WebWorkerDaily readers can try it out by using the invite code “GigaBox” when signing up. Two service levels are planned — a free offering, and a premium version that will offer enhanced security, increased storage and data export capabilities.
Let us know what you think of Threadbox in the comments.

isn’t this very much like GoogleWave? or am I missing something?
they do look kind of similar and fulfill similar roles, but Google Wave is still very much a standalone app. Threadbox integrates with existing email workflows, so it should be easier to get less techy colleagues and clients using it.
It does look like a simpler, more user friendly Google Wave. So far I am impressed. Getting non-tech oriented colleagues to use collaborations systems always has been a push.
Building on what people currently use is the way to go.
Thanks for the post.
