If you want to take part in beta sign up on the website What safer place to keep your files than Amazon's servers? I would appreciate if the author of this post look at the product and review on the blog

I started to use 37 Signals Basecamp and Highrise last year and found both tools very useful in their own rights. Basecamp for working on client projects and sharing information with the client and other team members. Highrise for contact management. However the cost of both didn't warrant the ups and downs of freelance client work. It was costing well over 60USD a month to have both services.

I am starting to look at the Wordpress P2 platform in more detail, being a wordpress styled version of Basecamp. Due to the nature of wordpress though, I expect that collaboration only goes so far and tools such as uploading files, tasks etc aren't available.... yet.

It's only a matter of time before someone, somewhere comes out with a project management/collaboration tool that sits on Wordpress, making Basecamp especially, void.

Another one worth looking at is Office Live Workspace. One of its key advantages over other online storage/collaboration services is that it integrates seamlessly into MS Office Programs, making it easy to save and share files with others.

I run a small geographically distributed business. Three of my team are in the UK & two are in the US. We cannot afford to lose our data and store it on Amazon S3. We use The SMEStorage.com client tools to automate the backup of our data to Mosso Cloudfiles so that it is totally redundant.

The service also allows us to setup collaboration groups, not only internally, but with our clients to share files. The web platform easily allows us to create a new word or excel doc and edit it inline in the browser using Zoho office. Any changes to files are automatically versioned and workflow rules can be setup to be notified via email or Twitter of any changes to files, any new files etc.

We are happy with the service so far and have been adding our thought to the developers on new features. For example, at our request, the service can now import evernote files.
