The wind ‘industry’ is apparently looking for more federal aid - actually, no, there’s nothing apparent about it. They want more federal aid, they want it permanently - and they want it specifically allocated to them, and not as part of a nebulous ‘alternate energy’ package. Otherwise, they’re afraid that they’ll go out of business. For the record: if your business plan requires - not benefits from; requires - an annual bailout from the federal government in order to function, then by definition you have a bad business plan. Mostly because you are not actually in business; you are a parasite pretending to be a business. I understand that this point has been obscured since the Democrats took Congress in 2007, but it bears repeating. A lot of repeating. Moe Lane Redstate

Dear Mr Pickens
I live in southern Iowa in the poorest part of the state
we have millions of acres of poor hill farms which
would be ideal for wind farms. It would be an excellant
boost to the areas economy. No one seems to care
about the poorest part of the state. They seem to build only in the northern half of the state on the
best farm ground. The state is talking about
building tramsmission lines in the northern half of
the state. I have sixty acres which would be excellant
for wind towers and thousands more next to my
farm. I am sure that the state would be interrested
in helping with transmission lines. I hope to hear
from you soon. Our area could use more industry.
No one seems to care about the southern two tiers
of counties. We also have an excellant rivers for
hydro electric dams. Your help would be great.

                                        Thank you
