The major problem with this system is that it depdends upon the continuation of current
battery design. Fast recharging batteries knocks the whole system into acocked hat. Why i it that no one ever thinks two days ahead befiore initiating these
massive projects? Better Place is doomed, that is certain - it will be a solution to a problem that not only will no longer exist but will attempt to solve it with the most expensive technique possible - multiple batteries for every client. Whenever there is a technology leap, the nutty ideas come out of the woodwork. The brainless idea of using (and destroying) EV owner batteries to create grid storage is another. Why aren;'t all these ideas subjected to rigoruos debate? Major policies are being enacted with virtually no evidence of either their viability or even their need. What a crappy way to run a railroad.
