&lt;p&gt;But if Nova Scotia&#039;s power company has a ridiculous &quot;net metering&quot; plan like New Brunswick&#039;s -- whereby NB Power steals whatever energy credit you have in your account each month of March -- then hopefully that agency will recommend that if homeowners are to be encouraged to produce their own electricity, first the cost must come down or real subsidies must be made available, and second, it must be possible to sell surpluses to the power company.&lt;/p&gt;]]></description>
