@Dave, your statement: "More and more leading climatologists and scientists ( including NASA )are taking another look at the data, and finding that the man made global warming theories just aren’t as valid as thought in the past." Is just plain untrue.

I don't understand why we are pouring so much money into preventing carbon emissions, when you have no positive proof of man causing little or any increase in the natural process of global warming. More and more leading climatologists and scientists ( including NASA )are taking another look at the data, and finding that the man made global warming theories just aren't as valid as thought in the past. Some areas are not warming. The average daily temperatures in my area ( The capital District of NY ), as monitored by the National Weather Service, have not risen in the past ten years. To make a long dissertation short, Lets not spend first, and later, find that we have been throwing money at a non-exixsting target.

Solving the climate crisis requires the ICT industry to step up, something they did with the Smart 2020 Report. What lacks now is for the politicians and economists running the show in Copenhagen to understand what a huge impact ICT could have on the carbon emission worldwide. Just installing smart meter technology with wireless displays so that the residents can see a visualized representation of their usages will lower overall usage by a staggering amount.

Adding that to the Copenhagen Agreement is an interesting idea. I still don't know if it should be, but I know my company has reduced our carbon footprint by using RHUB (www.rhubcom.com) for web conferencing. We've reduced on travel, and I've found with desktop sharing, using RHUB has been just about as good as a face to face conference.
