Heard Around Copenhagen

The U.S. Official COP15 Site: The U.S. might have just changed its mind to have President Obama arrive during the crucial negotiating hour, but they’ve still got a nicely laid out official COP15 web site complete with live videos, transcriptions of press events and daily schedules.

Draft Swap: The New York Times reports that delegates on Wednesday were busy swapping drafts of texts that will ultimately get pulled into one final agreement. Have to get ready for the heads of state coming next week!

The Danish Text Guardian Story: If you haven’t read the original report on the Danish “leaked” draft it came from the Guardian. While it’s an interesting story, opening up the piece by claiming COP15 is in “disarray” is clearly looking for controversy. And from the Guardian, the draft itself (they’re using Scribd!).

Youth Voice: The ACE::Alliance for Climate Education blog is delivering reports from the Bella Center from a youth perspective. They’ve got a crew of young staff roaming the floor.

Palin on Copenhagen: The celebrity politician has an opinion on anything energy-related, and claims that Climategate holds weight and says the President should boycott Copenhagen – yawn.

Deja Vu Copenhagen: Stop me if you think that you’ve heard this one before. Lapham’s Quarterly looks at the “smoke nuisance” of 1985 and the rhetoric surrounding (hat tip Alexis Madrigal master tweeter).
