After watching clean energy stocks take a hard hit last year, its comforting to see them rebounding. Companies that have remained committed to a mission of delivering the renewable energy systems we need as we transition to a sustainable society deserve well valued stock prices.

It is easy for investors to get caught up in short terms fluctuations. But I am confident that, in the long term, companies that embrace sustainable principles, will fair better than their counterparts. We have seen increasing interest from entrepreneurs enrolling in our five day intensive summer business sustainability course here at the University of Vermont (http://learn.uvm.edu/igs/sustainable_business) which offers students the opportunity to learn and apply new principles of designing, organizing and managing a business based on sustainability. This, to me, is a sign I'm not the only one thinking this way.
