Though he's retired from public office and devoting more time to his family, the Brits owe a ton-and-a-half of credit and thanks to Brian Wilson.

A Scottish journalist, editor and publisher, Brian represented Highland voters for a couple of decades in Parliament and as Minister for Transport and Energy in the Blair Cabinet he led the battle for alternative energy.

Brian established the standards and goals that will bear fruit [and local jobs] for years to come. Even though many of my peers on the Eco-Left still would rather drag their feet to protect the views from vacation cottages.
