We'll ignore the ignorant ideologue. Even American voters have started to learn that much.

The sad commentary though is that our politicians are still afraid to lead. Traditional sources of slush fund money keep them dragging their feet through anything approaching a unified energy approach.

Take something as easy and simple as the cash for clunkers program. At least fourteen countries have already enacted legislation like this and it's rolling right along.

Providing incentives for getting crappy old cars off the road ain't a bad idea. Yet, I doubt if it will hit the streets of the GOUSA before 2010.

Keep twisting the arms of your chickenhearted elected officials, gang. They haven't sufficient backbone to do it on their own.

Your car has not suddenly becomes a clunker. It is always a clunker. The difference is now you may get some cash for getting rid of it.

By the way if you want to assert having a million electric cars on the road will have zero discernible effect on anything please convince us with your math. Otherwise you know who is the brainless boobs?

If only policy were free from political payoffs to the alternative energy companies, and their supporters.
Now there are payoffs to those who can do with a pint-sized car. And the payoffs mostly have the effect of increasing our debt and (if possible) making us less able to compete. The idea that spending vast sums so that electricity can cost twice as mcuh ranks up there with the Florida Land Bubble as one of the all time cons. Do these morons in Congress have a clue as to just how much money they are spending
and how little they are affecting anything? Look at our dimwit sitting in the Oval Office. He thinks a million electric cars will actually make some difference.
We already know he doesn't know "Austrian", nor that 50 states comprise the US, now we realize that simple math is also way, way beyond his feeble mental abilities. One million electric cars on the road
in the US will have zero discernible effect on anything - oil demand, CO2, you name it. Cost? $7.5 billion. And offering cash for clunkers (I love the way a car large enough to fit my needs suddenly becomes a "clunker") is even less effective. Do the math, people, and quit making emotional, silly claims about this and that. And the next person that lies by referring to an EV as a "zero emission vehicle" gets a foot up their ass. How about a little intelligence around here. This is embarrassing for me as a human being. You folks DO have brains. Right? Well, use them!!!! What a generation of brainless boobs.
Did it ever occur to you "EV analysts" that the advent of electric propusltion means the death of tiny cars, mostly efficient at killing their occupants in the case of an accident. Do you people really enjoy helping to raise the accident mortality rates?
