I connecthere have provided instructions on how to get iconnecthere to work on your mac. And I quote:

"We would like to offer you the option of using the X-Lite dialer with your existing iConnectHere account.

1) First, click here to download the X-Lite dialer

Outgoing calls only:

1. Click on the 'Menu' button.
2. Go to System Settings and then "SIP Proxy".
3. Under the [Default] account include the following details:

- User Name: your 8-digit UserID
- Authorization user: (leave blank)
- Password: your 4-digit Password
- Domain/Realm: natrelay.deltathree.com
- SIP Proxy Server: natrelay.deltathree.com:5060

In addition, if you are operating from behind a NAT Firewall:
1. Click on the Menu button.
2. Go to System Settings and then ‘Network'
3. Please enter the following details -
- NAT Firewall IP: public IP address of your local NAT Firewall/router/or Connection Sharing machine.

Outgoing and incoming calls:

- User Name: your assigned Receiving Calls number
- Authorization user: your 8-digit UserID
- Password: your 4-digit Password
- Domain/Realm: natrelay.deltathree.com
- SIP Proxy Server: natrelay.deltathree.com:5060
- Register: change to "Always"
4. Go back to "Main Menu" and go to "Advanced System Settings".
5. Go to "SIP Settings"
- Reregister Proxy(s): change value to 120

In addition, if you are operating from behind a NAT Firewall:
1. Click on the Menu button.
2. Go to System Settings and then ‘Network’.
3. Please enter the following details -
- NAT Firewall IP: public IP address of your local NAT Firewall/router/or Connection Sharing machine."

This option worked like a charm for me.

I never tried it until asked, but yes, I can play iTunes. I already knew I could select it as the output device, but never tried iTunes. Of course, why would I? I have a MOTU 828mkII and Mackie 626s; in short, awesome audio. ;)

I would expect BT stereo headphone audio to be not so great, but I'm speculating, and YMMV.

Are you able to listen to other audio through the bluetooth headset? for instance iTunes?

Now there are all these stereo bluetooth headsets (ie Motorola's HT 820), and I'm not sure if I can use them to hear music. Do you know anything about it?

So everyone knows.... I had ruled out bad Bluetooth *headset* hardware, but continued looking at other hardware issues. I found my answer. If I plugged my BT USB dongle (CompUSA) into my hub behind my monitor or the monitor itself (23" Cinema HD) it had the horrible noise. When I moved the dongle to the USB port on the front of the G5 it was much better.

Use skype, and may even call her for free. I use it with my PowerBook G4 and Motorola's HS810. You can do it too. First pair the headset with the mac, which is a two mouse clicks into OSX's bluetooth preferences, Then, from the skype preferences, select the headset for both input and output audio. It works like a charm. The quality of the audio through this headset will be equal to that of a normal phone call. If you use a cable headset, the quality will be much higher. If you use no headset at all, the powerbook will deliver stunning quality for you, and your voice will be heard at stunning quality too. Try it, you'll love it. It is a killer application.

I am having severe noise from the input of an HS810 in Tiger 10.4.2. I've ruled out bad hardware since the same thing happens with an HS820 that I have. Could the bluetooth codecs be bad in this version? Anyone else have this problem?
