Apple’s new magic mouse steps into this territory. You can either look at is as a validation of Wacom’s thinking in creating a touch pad for desktop computers, or direct competition. Wacom’s tablets are much bigger than a mouse and might give a better experience because of that.

Can you use both a pen-only tablet and a separate multi-touch tablet at the same time?

This would let you do menu choices on the multi-touch with the secondary hand while drawing with the stylus with the primary hand.

I wonder when a multi-touch Cintiq will be out? Or is it already out?

i’m currently looking for a tablet for drawing and stuff, and i think the Bamboo Pen seems to be a good choice because if you own the aluminum Macbook or the Macbook Pros, then you would have multi-touch on the trackpad already… so just the pen would be good :D

The new Bamboo and Bamboo Pen are great additions as portable versions of the Intuos 4. Plus, it gives my older generation Macbook multi-touch prowess. I could see myself picking up the combination model to place in my school bag.

I’ve been waiting for Apple or someone to offer a multi-touch USB pad. I feel lost when I move from my MacBook to my Imac. This is just the thing—no more mouse! I can give my old Bamboo to my kid.
