Transmit 3.6 – Now with Amazon S3 Support
Today Panic released Transmit version 3.6. It’s been over 18 months since 3.5 was released (though there have been multiple smaller version releases between then).
The biggest new feature in 3.6 is the addition of Amazon S3 support which undoubtedly has been one of the bigger feature requests lately.
In addition to the Amazon S3 support, another new feature they are touting is a “Copy URL” feature. If you are connected to a remote server you can copy the direct URL of the file on your server by using the contextual menu.
Along with these 2 new features are over 50 new fixes and improvements.

So happy about this – I can finally get rid of the horribly ugly Firefox Add-on and just have one application for all my web uploading/downloading
In my understanding “Copy URL” isn’t new, im using it constantly. It’s so usefull! S3 support is fantastic!
Sorry, there is a new “Copy Web-URL”-function. Thats really new and if its what i think it is a real timesaver.
Is there a method to allow public access with the new Transmit S3 feature? I know how to do it at the command line, but didn’t see a way to do it via Transmit.
Matthew: You can ‘Get Info’ on a file (right click or Command-I) and at the bottom of that window it gives you read & write options.
In my understanding “Copy URL” isn’t new, im using it constantly. It’s so usefull! S3 support is fantastic!
Does anyone know if you can set any cache-control headers for css/js files, etc.
