I downloaded the demo version, liked it very much, purchased the CD from Amazon, installed it, tried to run the applications, which required a serial number. This was an artifact of the downloaded version; however, it took me a couple of hours of mucking about, registering, looking for an email with the serial number, try various numbers from the box, ad nauseum. The only way I got it to work was to delete the downloaded version and scrub my library of all mention of iwork, then reinstalled it from CD. Seems to me a better path would be to put a single serial number on the box, same one on every box would work, or state on the box “No serial number required.”
