I’m so glad it was part of macheist this year, so i got that and a few other apps that i will use for $39. I really wish littlesnapper supported pdf’s and videos then it would be perfect. I know there are other apps like Together and Devonthink that can handle everything but they aren’t as easy to use or as easy to look at as LS.

- Option to upload images to FTP and publish on flickr
- Support for exporting images via Microsoft Entourage
- Drag and drop annotated images to other applications
- UI updated with option to Zoom and Lock or Unlock image on the canvas
- Pressing Shift key while resizing the image or annotation maintains the aspect ratio
- Copy and paste annotations within the images in the history
- Keyboard support provided for selecting and moving the annotations
- Thumbnails are dynamically updated following the changes in the annotations
- Six new filters including Saw Tooth and Torn Edge and seven new Stamps have been added

You can capture the entire desktop or parts of the screen using selection capture or capture application menus using menu capture. Moreover, Voila also allows you to capture multiple areas of the screen. You can simultaneously use different selection capture modes to capture images of any size (Rectangular, circular, polygonal and even freehand capture). Voila can also be configured to use the default shortcuts (Cmd + Shift + 3 and Cmd + Shift + 4) to invoke the capture modes. You can also resize and rotate the capture selection during capture.

In addition to this, it has a wide variety of annotation tools like brush, paint, spray, text, shape, arrows, callouts, line and stamps. You can also add sine wave edge, blur edge, sepia glow and many more effects to the captured images to enhance them. There are many other features that are not mentioned here. It is by far the most flexible for my work style. http://the.layersapp.com/ It saves out to a PSD (photoshop) file and almost everything on the screen is in layers. which means you can take a messy screen grab and then fix it the exact way you want it in PS.
