Cables with high power are not cheap in the market. Though it works very well, it is more expensive to use. Because of its worthiness managed the price and still work with this type..

Still seems expensive to me for office use though I’d get a few for travel. I use these releasable cable ties (http://www.buycableties.com/catalog/?pid=41) for less permanenet installation in combination with single-use traditional cable ties for semi-permanent cables and get 100 for the price of one Cable Yo Yo. There are other ties also that are easily releasable. But heck it all works–whatever works for you. this is like arguing about whether Perl or Python is better and alsmot as much fun…NOT!

The unit is solid plastic, so the only EMI will come from the cable itself. Protection from interference relies on the design of the cable, but for the cables that you will most likely use with CableYoYo, there should not be any issue. I use it to wind my speaker cable, and have no static or noise issues.

Sounds like a good product, but I’m curious about signal noise from winding the cable. Is there any attempt by the unit to prevent noise ?

I use velcro straps — easy to apply and undo every time another wire needs to be added or removed from the bundle; and can be nailed, pinned or glued to the back of desks, etc. for off-the-floor cable control.

Shan, these winders are reusable and made for traveling, etc. where you’ll need to wind and unwind cables frequently. Zip ties are for permanent tying – big difference dood.

Bellamy, hard to follow your public-school punctuated diatribe, but at least you get the point. The price however is $5 each, not $9.

Always amazes me how people will complain about anything – just to hear themselves complain apparently.
I’m sure none of you have any idea what goes into producing, marketing and selling a product.

RadTech came along a few years ago and has been producing some of the best products for Mac users in a very long time – many of them to counter Apple’s glaring oversights and design flaws – yet the ninnies still bitch… amazing.

I’ve bought one cableyoyo recently. I do think it’s cheap, if you’re not living in Indonesia. Here, they sell these for USD 9.00 a piece. Even with a low-quantity shipping, I would still call this a rip-off. But, the good thing, that it is a high-quality and precision-engineered cable management tool, not only that it matches my iMac perfectly, the Cableyoyo really cleans up tangled-cable mess created with the cable turtles which I used before. I think I really need to buy more of them.

And yeah, I will not attach it to my iMac, ever.
