Quicksilver Screencast: Access Minimized Windows

This link does not work. I have tried to download this extension for about two weeks and it just errors out when trying to download. There is no contact page to tell the website owner the this page the links don’t work.

I’m having the same problem as Dave and liuxia: after installing the plug-in, restarting QS, and even restarting my system, the plug-in remains inoperable. The icon for plug-in list remains a puzzle piece. I too have enabled access for assistive devices; still nothing…

I hate to double post but I do have a request as opposed to a comment.

I noticed (via your menu bar) that you use VirtueDesktops (love it myself) have you played around at all with the plug-in that a user made for Quicksilver? I don’t think it has many features and I suppose making a screencast on it would be a little boring and pointless (as most people don’t even have VirtueDesktops and as I said earlier I don’t think the plug-in has many features) but I’d be interested to hear your take on it if you have played with it.

@Tristan I’ve used Witch too and while Witch has more shortcuts to tinker with (like scrolling around) deminimizer is really good for people who just need a few windows back.

Also deminimizer installs with some triggers already made. All that’s needed is to assign shortcuts (in my case I just installed variants of command + m since that is the default to minimize)

I installed Deminimizer Module plugin, however it doesn’t work. (small icon of plugin remains something like “pazzle piece”, not the one I see in screencast. I enabled ‘access for assistive devices’ is enabled in the Universal Access preference pane… Is anyone know how to fix this?

I have heard for years now about how great quicksilver is but me being the lazy person that i am. I always said if mac doesn’t come with it i don’t need it. So yesterday i downloaded quicksilver and took it for a test spin. Let me tell you this it was amazing in a matter of a day it has completely changed the way i work on my mac and i will never go back to having 60 icons cluttering me dock. So any of you out there who haven’t tried well your missing out. Go try it!

this is pretty cool, I also like the built in triggers it installs so you can just go in and assign a trigger rather than creating a new custom trigger..

While I love quicksilver, that seems like a little too much effort to go through just to restore a minimised application.
I prefer to use Witch (http://www.manytricks.com/witch/) which lets you switch between applications using a keyboard shortcut (like alt+tab)
