Have you tried just the OEM Canon ink cartridges or any compatible units at all? It seems like some printers accept compatible cartridges better then others.

@Danny – I did not compare their output. I mostly print text and not photos. From the demos that I saw in-store, the 7600 handily beat the 850 when it comes to text.

Hi Matthew!

Thanks so much for the review! I am having a lot of trouble looking for comparitive information between the MX7600 and the MX850; did you have a chance to compare their output? Reviews of the 7600 say it has ‘not that great’ photo output with a pinkish cast – are you finding this? Basically, is this the best inkjey AIO that money can buy?

Thanks for the informative review. I have a canon mp500 and i think i got a lemon. I have many problems with errors and recognizing the ink tanks constantly. I was very hesitant about buying another one so i’ve been reading on several reviews about this particular one and i liked how you included replacement ink cost. I hadn’t found any that gave an approximation of a number, just high or low or somewhat which doesn’t really help. :)
