Dude LMAO, jokes on you. I don't have a shop in Beaumont. I'm a consultant, I work from home. I never NEVER take anyone's equipment. If I work on hardware at all (rarely) I service it at the customer's site (their home or office). By the way thanks for the link, the more traffic that gets driven to my web site the busier I am and the less time I have to troll the net for loser's like you.

Don't worry about it, Bret Knight is a notorious internet troll. He runs a tiny Mac shop in Beaumont, California, and due to lack of customers, he spends the entire day surfing the internet finding things to whine about.

By the way, never use his shop, I took my macbook there about a year ago and he kept it for almost two months before returning it to me with the exact same problems that it had. In addition, there was what i can only assume could be Chee-to dust all over my once pristine, white laptop.

the point here is to make posting sets *super* easy. Instead of waiting until the end of an event to post a series of photos, post them as you go. I don't want to be bothered with adding captions

You can pick which site they post to in the app

Pankaj, thank you for your kind words about OurDoings. In defense of Posterous, their iPhone app is useful for occasions when you're doing live coverage of an event and don't have time to switch into mail. On those occasions you wouldn't have time to input descriptions anyway. If that's not what you want to do, then you're right, there's no reason to stop using their excellent email interface in favor of the app.

Talking about iPhone app for prosterous here. The app is seriously lacking in usability. The photos can't be labeled or tagged with any description. I have tried posting 2 photos but they failed to show up quickly enough. If I have multiple sites, where do these photos go? They go the main site. How do I change that behavior. Where does the location info go?
Photo microblogging is done very well by ourdoings folks.
Posterous iPhone app has limitations, considering how powerful a device is iPhone. I don't see any reason they should have a native app. iPhone's mail app is their official App!!

Ugh. I don't get it. Why would anybody want to post something to all those services at once? If I saw somebody doing that, I'd probably stop following/defriend/block them.

Seriously, different services are for different uses. They're not all the same thing.

Using Posterous in this way is, to me, spamming. And I block spammers.

Tom, Tumblr is the only one I've seen make email posts look decent:

http://www.tumblr.com/docs/email_publishing

And that's where publishing ends for Posterous. Tumblr is a much more robust tool, and has been rolling out features much faster.

I don't get why you're so hard for this thing. Use whatever you'd like, but don't diss Tumblr.

After reading this article on the AppleBlog I decided to test out the claims made about posting to Tumblr and Posterous. I have had accounts on both for sometime (a bit longer on Tumblr) and use Posterous as a mirror for my Tumblr. The image (should be aligned to the right of this text) is a screen capture from the AppleBlog posting. I emailed this post to both Tumblr and Posterous from Mail.app with text coloring and sizing.

Tumblr loses this one. See the results here: http://khurt.posterous.com/ and here: http://khurtwilliams.com/
