Great tutorial, thank you!

Actually, I have a problem when I run the app on my iPhone 4: there is no sound at all. When I run it in the simulator, the sound works perfectly. No error, nothing.

Very strange also: the original app Bickboxx from the appstore worked on my iPhone first time I launched it, with sound and all, but now the sound doesn’t work anymore too!! Really wierd! Tried to shut down and up again the iPhone, but still the same problem.

Someone has seen the same? Any hint?

Last question: we are two teachers who want to study iPhone development with students (beginners). If you know more tutorials of such a quality, that we can follow from beginning to the end, with code, we would be very pleased if you want to share some links! Thanks a lot by advance!

had a few bugs and eventually managed to find out where i’d gone wrong by downloading source code and comparing with what I’d done.

everything works except the sound and I can’t understand what the problem.

I’m getting the same error. I hope someone know’s what is causing this. It would really nice to get this too work. I have tried other versions of the simulator and still isn’t working. :(

this tutorial is fabulous! i’m beyond “new” to all of this development and this was by far the best tutorial i’ve come across. i, too, had a little trouble “uncommenting” at the “viewDidLoad” method, but was proud of myself for figuring it all out myself.
i would LOVE to see more tutorials like this!

I get up to the bit where you open the xib and control click for the file owner but I don’t see what you have on your tutorial. Must have done something wrong but have tried it 3 times and get the same thing. Any ideas????

I’m not sure why the app crashes when I “Build and Go” the code from github, but I just tried it from the tutorial and it worked! (I tried the tutorial last night and ended up with a lot of errors — my fault I’m sure). Anyway, thank you very very much for posting this tutorial and the code — I am as much a beginner as is possible with app development and this helped me a great deal.
