I have been working on a wireless network with all Apple ExtremeN airbases. We have clients running 10.3x to 10.5x. Believe me, we have had all the trouble mentioned here, and have used all the methods listed. Most of the time, one of them will work. We go from one to the next until we have success.
Now I will offer a new one to you. I have had cases where I cannot get the darn thing to connect. I recently spent a half-our doing everything but rebuild my MacBook. I went so long, by battery was running low. I connected my power supply, and voila!!!! I had an address and connection. I mentioned this the next day to a peer that was having trouble, and it worked for him as well. This occurance is typically when we move from one network, or airbase, to another. I hope this helps.

I have a similar issue, I have a netgear running wpa2 personal. My leopard will not connect to it with out running through the diagnostics. after that is doe, I can connect fine until I shut off the wifi and turn it back on, then im back to not being able to connect. I did notice that when I choose to remember the network it incorrectly listed the network type as wpa2-enterprise, instead of it being wpa2-personal.

I wiped and reloaded the macbook and tried again to reload it, and got the same issue. It just returns an error saying that "there was an error connecting to x" (x being my ssid). This is very annoying, and Apple has been of no help to me in this matter at all. funny thing is my macbook that is running tiger has no problem connecting to it. I ran a repair on the keychain that has the wpa key in it but it said that no errors were found. I can connect fine to open networks but I shouldn't have to change my enryption just to get the thing to connect.

Has anyone found a resolution for this?
