You should consider adding apps like Inner Circle. They’re ‘closed loop’ apps that are great for us concerned about privacy.

Oh man, I can’t *believe* I left Brightkite off the list! I registered with them when they first came on the scene, though I admit I don’t use it much. It’s great, though, and definitely should have been on the list.

I think Whrrl is a great pick for this list. I’ve only had it for a week or so, but I think it has the potential to be pretty powerful. It’s easy to use and the privacy controls allow me to share with exactly who I want, when I want.

I also realy like the Bright Kite app for location based socal stuff. There is a decent sized community using. http://brightkite.com/
