Well over a week ago, I returned to my MacBook Pro to discover that all of my contacts were gone ... and I mean really gone. They were not there, they were not on my iPhone, and they were not on my MobileMe account. After unsuccessfully trying to figure out what had happened, especially since no one was at the computer when whatever happened happened, I opened a Chat support dialogue with MobileMe. To put it briefly, my contacts were re-sent to me a little over a week later. However, I have been unable since to access my MobileMe account or to sync anything. So, I can't get my contacts back to my iPhone, I cant access my e-mail on my iPhone, and I can't even download app updates from the Apple Store because MobileMe never properly restored my MobileMe account access or advised me as to how to do it. And I have spent loads of time waiting for feedback on a problem that, with a telephone call, would have taken all of about 5 or 10 minutes. Why in the world does a company renowned for its innovation deliver support in this manner? And, oh, by the way, what happened, I wonder, at the MobileMe server that caused the problem in the first place? Can it happen again?

I am totally frustrated with MobileMe. I have not had the ability to sync Calendars and Contacts for a week. The "Engineers" are supposedly investigating the matter. I suspect that they've done nothing. This is a core function of their service that I'm paying for - how difficult can this be?

I would strongly advise anyone considering Mobile Me to not do it. They can't do what they advertise!

I canceled mobileme last summer and I can't get it off of my "sync" choice in iTunes. I even went into program manager on my pc and deleted all parts of the program. I still can't sync my contact. It keeps saying it will push thru mobileme, and will not allow any other choice!!!!! Any suggestions. Calling, emailing, or chatting for help is POINTLESS.

Apple has clearly bitten off more than it can chew. Where do we start with issues? Repeating events - what a joke - MobileMe needs a "Delete All Future" events in addition to "Delete All". Furthermore, "Delete All" needs to apply only to those true duplicates of the recurring event (not the shifted variants - such as those that were customised, repositioned and contained notes).
