and to the student…………….. – Give me a freakin break!!!! Again Tiger is still better than Vista so why not buy a Mac and then upgrade the OS when Leopard comes out – Eureka !!!! Too complicated for you ???

so you bought a MS based PC because there was a delay in the new OS from Mac – you know what stick with PC – it sounds like your intelligence is matched with Microsofts anyways.

You are all wrong! I’ve spoken to Apple and they have revealed to me that the true problem is that the coffee machine on the 12th floor ain’t working and they’ve had to put some OS engineers to work on it. As for the Iphone some us (non USA citizens) will get tired of waiting and stick to our Nokias, Htpc… Tiger is as good as the best so I don’t really mind the delay for I hereby declare I shall never return to Windows.

Will Apple introduce new machines with the Leopard release? Im going to buy a MacBook Pro soon, but Im wondering if Apple usually introduces new machines when the New OS comes out??? Then I might just wait some more….

we are talking about a company that has always been on the cutting edge. yeah it sucks that we are going to have to wait a few months but who cares. Apple still produces the best product and i will have my iPhone and Leapord on their respective launch dates. lets think about this wait on 10.5 or use a Microshit product….. i think that is a no brainer

I can understand why Apple chose to divert resources from the Tiger project to the iPhone. The iPhone is going to be a cash cow. If Apple makes lots of money, they remain stable. A stable Apple Corp. means Apple computers will continue to be good.

Everybody just needs to chill out here. Sure, it’s disappointing that Leopard has been delayed, but the current OS X is still way better than XP or Vista. And look at how long it took Microsoft to get Vista out anyway. And it was, to no one’s surprise, very disappointing. They delayed Longhorn forever which then became Vista and many features they were developing didn’t even make it in. They even had to copy more features from Apple (widgets=gadgets…the whole windows concept).
Also, think about how much brand recognition the iPhone is going to bring Apple. Not to mention the money. It’ll be a similar situation as with the iPod. As more people buy iPods or iPhones, the more consumers become familiar with what a great product Apple produces, and thus furthering their computer sales.
Personally I’m waiting to buy a macbook until Leopard comes out because it will most likely coincide with Apple’s usual new hardware releases in the fall.
