I do this on the now-old Mac Pro without issue.

I wish I could justify buying this new monster… it looks to be quite awesome… but I’ll probably have to stick with my old, crusty 8-core Pro ’til it blows up… : )

Only the 8-core model can handle a full compliment of RAM. This may seem minor now, but in a couple of years you might want all that RAM and regret not spending a little more now as you have to buy again from scratch.
