Sorry for any ambiguity. I should have mentioned the disk utility. It is a useful piece of software, but it’s not really easy to use for the non-techie. For example, my girlfriend was able to use disco to burn a CD-R with ease, but she’s never been able to even use the disk utility.

Disco doesn’t really add anything new to the functionality currently available to OS X users, what it does add is a special kind of simplicity to creating disk images and burning CDs.

Unfortunately, it’s not available yet. I’ll probably spend $15 when it’s released though – that’s nothing for a decent app to burn CDs easily. I think most commercial CD burning applications are bloated and clunky… it will be nice to see a fresh take on burning.
