$60,000 Worth of iPods
I don’t know much about this commercial other than a reader sent it to me. Supposedly the commercial, which appears to be for some sort of Apple/Support store, uses $60,000 worth of iPods to pull of the effect. Nice.

That’s a cool commercial, but I doubt it uses $60k worth of iPods. it’s edited into segments. I’m guessing that wasn’t all one line. I bet they used no more than 30 iPods.
Interesting ad, waste of iPods though. Is there any way that this could be posted in QuickTime though? I have Flip4Mac and all, I just wanted it on my iPod and that kind of stuff doesn’t work. Besides, it is a Mac site afterall, it should just naturally be in QT. Thanks!
Yeah, ditch the lousy Windoze file and get it from Gizmodo (or where ever they got it).
I’m not affiliated with this site, but just to clarify… it’s not a Windows Media file, it’s an mpg. QuickTime can play it just fine without Flip4Mac.
Tekserve is a great mac retailer in new york city. I like to hang out in the store and use the free wireless.
Awesome. I used to work for TekServe – the owners are super geek computer scientists who used to repair macs on the side, but eventually it turned into TekServe. They’ve always got some Rube Goldberg video on in the store, so this kind of makes sense.
One of my favorite things about TekServe is the working 50′s Coke machine. It takes dimes.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are. True too y
