I think we could all use more “joined up thinking” when it comes to business software. There are some applications where you can’t even Export your data. And even if you can, there’s no easy way of linking it all together.

I’m trying to start solving this problem by developing my own time tracker without timers for the Mac, and eventually it will be able to export to a lot of the web applications in this article – Havest, Freshbooks, FreeAgent and so on. I’d love to know what other people think of my idea.
