In Windows, if you cut, and never paste again, it leaves the file where you cut if from. It does NOT just delete the file.

Linux does cut-paste with the mv command. Only mac is persistent with telling you you are doing it wrong. And no surprise, you can use mv in a terminal, but how annoying to not be able to do the equivalent in Finder.

And yes, the single paned tree view is lame compared to the 2 paned Windows Explorer.

Mac, so brilliant, and yet so stubbornly annoying.

This is pathetic. Most of these shouldn't even be paid apps, nor are they even remotely necessary on a allegedly POSIX-compliant system like OS X.

Seriously, $15 for an app that is basically doing what is typically a STANDARD setting for any sane desktop environment. Of course, this being OS X, you guys don't get any real settings. How's that ONE desktop theme working out for you mac users?

I think it's pathetic that most of these are being paid apps for stuff you could easily do if you weren't all so phobic about the god-damn terminal. The timer function especially. EVERY UNIX already has PLENTY of useful timing utilities as part of a POSIX-compliant toolchain.

That stupid Chronosync does the exact same damn thing as a cronjobbed rsync. Why waste money on something you can already do for free and likely with software you already have on your Mac?

Oh wait. Its because you're a bunch of Mac users who don't know anything about how screwed you've been since you first BOUGHT a Mac all those years ago. You're so used to it you don't realize when you're being fleeced over BASIC SOFTWARE that Linux users get FOR FREE and are also likely available for OS X.

This list blows. No wonder you guys seem to think macs are worth 50% more than what they actually are. $2,000 would have gotten a PC anywhere from two to four times more powerful. Instead you wasted it on a Mac that doesn't outperform, and a crippled system distribution that doesn't let its users do anything.
